20+ OKX assets decentralized on Orion
Orion Protocol became the first to decentralize OKX’s order books, enabling users to trade OKX’s centralized liquidity by connecting their own wallet to Orion Terminal. OKX’s order books join Binance, KuCoin, AscendEX and more in being aggregated into one deep order book on Orion.
OKX being a Power Exchange on the Orion Network opens up new opportunities for the CEX to tap into new users through decentralized means, creating a new revenue stream for the exchange which was not previously possible as a siloed entity. This opens up access to a growing number of new users for OKX as Orion combines exchanges, rather than competes with them.
Many users who wish to stay in control of their assets by using their own wallet, do so by connecting with Orion Terminal. Centralized exchanges hold custody of a user’s assets, leaving them exposed to possible blocks, shutdowns, restrictions, data breaches and more.
Benefits of OKX on Orion
OKX liquidity flowing through Orion’s order books also brought 20+ new tokens for users to trade on Orion Terminal. We take a closer look at those tokens to help understand more about them.
Serum | SRM
Serum is a decentralized exchange (DEX) providing high speed and low transaction costs for decentralized finance (DeFi). Serum is the only high-performant DEX designed around a fully on-chain central limit order book and matching engine. Ecosystem partners can compose with Serum’s on-chain orderbook to share liquidity and power their trading features for institutional and retail users.
Bancor Network | BNT
Bancor is the only decentralized staking protocol that allows you to earn money with single-token exposure and full protection from impermanent loss. Launched in 2017, Bancor was the first DeFi protocol. The protocol token used on the network is the “Bancor Network Token,” BNT. The protocol’s token allows traders to provide liquidity for the pools available on the network. Anyone can contribute liquidity to the pools.
Loopring | LRC
Loopring builds protocols, infrastructure, and user-facing products for the future of finance. We believe this future is built on Ethereum, and specifically on layer 2 (zkRollups). Users of decentralized finance (DeFi) need not choose between security and performance. Loopring's L2 provides a low-fee, high-speed platform for trading, swapping, liquidity providing, and payments - without sacrificing Ethereum security at all.
TrueUSD | TUSD
TrueUSD is a stablecoin that provides its token holders regular attestations of escrowed balances, full collateral, and also the legal protection against misappropriating underlying USD. The team believes that TrueUSD will be able to come up with a stable trading instrument for the traders of cryptocurrency which has been long-awaited.
Maker | MKR
The Maker token (MRK) is a governance token that is used to govern and recapitalize the Maker protocol. Holders of the token can participate and vote on changes to the protocol’s smart contract and system parameters such as Stability Fees and the Dai Savings Rate (DSR).
Gala | GALA
Gala games aim to take the gaming industry to the next level by giving back control to players over their games. Gala games' mission is to make games you’ll actually want to play.
Tornado Cash | TORN
Tornado Cash is a decentralized, non-custodial privacy solution built on Ethereum. It improves transaction privacy by breaking the on-chain link between recipient and destination addresses. Tornado Cash uses a smart contract that accepts ETH and ERC-20 deposits. These deposits can be withdrawn by any on-chain address. Whenever an asset is withdrawn by the new address, there is no way to link the withdrawal to the deposit, ensuring asset privacy.
Balancer | BAL
BAL is the governance token for the Balancer Protocol. It can be used to vote on proposals and steer the direction of the protocol. Balancer is a multi-token automated market maker (AMM) that functions as a self-balancing weighted portfolio protocol.
The SandBox | SAND
Sandbox is a decentralized community-owned virtual world. Creators can host custom games and events in the virtual world. Analysts like to compare Sandbox with Roblox due to their similarity in concepts. However, the key difference with Sandbox is that players have true ownership of the virtual world assets in the form of NFTs.
Enjin Coin | ENJ
Enjin Coin is a cryptocurrency for virtual goods created by Enjin. Enjin is the “largest gaming community platform online” with over 250,000 gaming communities and 18.7 million registered gamers. The Enjin team is designing the coin completely around gaming with the goal of it being the most usable cryptocurrency for the industry. The project includes the Enjin Coin as well as a suite of software development kits (SDKs) that developers can integrate into their games and communities.
0x | ZRX
0x is a protocol that aims to facilitate a frictionless peer-to-peer exchange of Ethereum-based assets. 0x is considered a non-custodial solution because funds are deposited or withdrawn from the user's wallet. It aggregates liquidity pools from different projects that are built on top of 0x for smoother peer-to-peer transactions.
REN | REN
Ren Protocol is a permissionless and trustless protocol that allows users to transfer tokens across different blockchains. Ren’s core product, RenVM is focused on building an interoperability solution for Decentralized Finance (DeFi).
Livepeer | LPT
The Livepeer project aims to deliver a live video streaming network protocol that is fully decentralized, highly scalable, crypto token incentivized and results in a solution that can serve as the live media layer in the decentralized development (web3) stack. In addition, Livepeer is meant to provide an economically efficient alternative to centralized broadcasting solutions for any existing broadcaster.
Reserve Rights | RSR
Reserve project aims to create a censorship-resistant USD stablecoin, RSV, and decentralized fiat on/off ramps. Ultimately, Reserve’s goal is to create a universal store of value, particularly in regions with unreliable banking infrastructure and regions where hyperinflation is an issue.
Ethereum Name Service | ENS
The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a distributed, open, and extensible naming system based on the Ethereum blockchain. ENS’s job is to map human-readable names like ‘alice.eth’ to machine-readable identifiers such as Ethereum addresses, other cryptocurrency addresses, content hashes, and metadata.
Smooth Love Potion | SLP
Smooth Love Potion (SLP) tokens can be earned as rewards by Axie Infinity players through battle or adventure mode. SLP are tokens that can be used to breed new digital pets, known as Axies. It was formally known as Small Love Potion before the token upgrade to the Ronin blockchain.
